Baritation
Photographic paper coated with a layer of barium sulphate that in turn is coated with a light-sensitive emulsion.
This emulsion is made of silver halides suspended in gelatine.
Pictures gain impact mainly due to more intense blacks and finer tone in whites. The paper texture, smooth and elegant, it is also a determining factor.

PAPER:

Ilford Multigrade IV FB Fiber
255 g/m2 · glossy
This is a fibre-based variable-contrast paper. It has a great tonal rendition throughout the full range of contrast, especially in highlights.
It produces copies with deep, rich blacks produced by the choice and positioning of optical paper brighteners.
